Base Salary: $32–$42/hour — Based on experience and qualifications

Shift: 40 hrs/week; 4x10 or 5x8 depending on team needs; overtime regularly on the table; weekend rotation and AOG coverage compensated at premium rates

Job Summary
Keep a high-utilization GA piston fleet airworthy while building expertise in avionics and electrical systems. From routine inspections to avionics installs and structural work, this role touches all sides of GA maintenance and reports directly to the Director of Maintenance with real room to grow.
Key Responsibilities

Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GA piston aircraft across the active fleet

Perform and sign off 100-hour and annual inspections in full compliance with 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91

Isolate and fix faults in electrical and avionics systems with accuracy

Participate in avionics installations including radios, GPS units, ADS-B, autopilot systems, and full avionics suite upgrades

Handle light sheet metal and structural repair work as required by the aircraft condition

Run down mechanical and electrical discrepancies using sound diagnostic technique

Pull and apply maintenance manuals, ADs, SBs, and technical drawings as needed for each task

Enter all completed work into the maintenance tracking system promptly and precisely

Hold the shop and personal workspace to a consistent standard of cleanliness and order

Cover rotational weekend shifts and respond to AOG situations as part of the on-call support structure
Minimum Requirements

Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (required)

3 or more years maintaining GA piston aircraft as a certificated A&P

Hands-on history completing and signing off 100-hour inspections

Working-level avionics and electrical troubleshooting ability

Practical knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91

Candidate must furnish their own basic hand tool set

Thorough documentation habits and clear communication with the team

Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied positions; no issues with routine fuel, solvent, or component exposure
Ideal Qualifications

Inspection Authorization (IA) credential

Direct experience with Garmin, Avidyne, G1000, or equivalent avionics systems

Sheet metal and airframe structural repair experience

Time on turboprop platforms

Prior lead mechanic or supervisory role

Experience in flight school or high-cycle fleet maintenance environments
