Job Summary
An immersive seasonal nursing position for an RN or NP who is most at home working with kids outdoors. You’ll handle front-line clinical care, keep the Health Center running, and become a steady, reassuring presence that the whole camp community can count on.
Key Responsibilities

Extend medical care, triage, and first aid to campers and staff across all shifts and throughout the season

Administer and log medications in line with each individual’s health plan

Keep health records precise, up to date, and handled in accordance with privacy standards

Watch for and respond to recurring camp health patterns such as illness outbreaks, dehydration, and sun-related concerns

Connect with parents, guardians, and outside providers when health updates or referrals are needed

Hold the Health Center to a consistently high standard of cleanliness, organization, and supply readiness

Educate campers and staff on health, hygiene, and safety habits throughout the summer

Work hand in hand with camp leadership on emergency preparedness and incident management

Attend to campers with ongoing or complex health needs including allergies and diabetes with consistency and care

Anchor the camp’s Health Center as a calm, welcoming space that supports overall camper well-being
Minimum Requirements

Active RN or NP license in Maine or through a Compact state

At least 1 year of experience with children or youth in a medical or clinical setting

Current CPR and First Aid certification

Open schedule including evenings and weekends throughout the season

Committed to living on-site for the duration of the camp season
