Job Summary
Ensure the structural soundness of airframe components through rigorous static stress and fatigue/damage-tolerance analyses. Collaborating with design engineers, this role applies classical and numerical evaluation methods to metallic and composite assemblies, meeting regulatory standards while optimizing structural performance across aviation programs.
Key Responsibilities

Develop creative, high-quality solutions to complex structural engineering problems.

Conduct fatigue/damage-tolerance and static stress evaluations on metallic and non-metallic airframe components.

Produce technical reports and supporting documentation for design reviews and drawing approvals.

Coordinate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to address and resolve technical issues.

Refine structural analysis methods and oversee their integration into final design outputs.

Provide guidance and professional development support to junior engineers in structural mechanics and materials.

Lead defined work packages within large engineering programs.

Establish project milestones, delegate tasks, and drive timely delivery of technical deliverables.

Sustain effective technical communication with teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Identify root causes of structural discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective measures.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a structural emphasis.

At least 8 years of hands-on experience analyzing primary structures for aircraft applications.

Demonstrated proficiency in both composite and metallic airframe structural analysis.

Strong command of classical stress analysis techniques and finite element modeling (FEM).

Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

Practical application of fatigue and damage-tolerance (F&DT) principles in an aviation context.
Ideal Qualifications

Hands-on experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD platforms.

Advanced proficiency using NASTRAN and FEMAP for structural modeling and analysis.

Track record of leading structural validation efforts and mentoring engineering staff.

Ability to prepare formal certification documentation and technical sign-off packages.

Experience bringing new structural designs from concept through production integration.
