Senior Desktop Engineer’s Responsibilities And Duties
- Manage, configure, and support Windows desktop environments across the enterprise.
- Administer and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, and related services.
- Provide advanced support and administration of Office 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Support and manage VMware environments to ensure optimal desktop and application performance.
- Implement and enforce Group Policies to maintain security and compliance standards.
- Oversee Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for secure and efficient device provisioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy new desktop solutions and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues in a timely manner.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices.
- At least 5 years of experience in a desktop engineering or related IT infrastructure role.
- Strong expertise with Windows operating systems in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and user account management.
- Proficiency with Office 365 administration and support.
- Solid understanding of VMware environments, including desktop virtualization.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (Intune or similar platforms).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
