Low Voltage Estimator’s Responsibilities And Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for structured cabling, low voltage infrastructure, and technology systems projects.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documentation to determine project scope and requirements.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to develop accurate project estimates.
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Support the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams throughout the estimating process.
- At least 3 years of estimating experience within low voltage, structured cabling, or related construction trades.
- Experience estimating structured cabling, low voltage infrastructure, and technology systems projects.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and bid documentation.
- Knowledge of data center environments is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and with clients.
