Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for installing low-voltage systems such as intrusion systems, CCTV, access control, data, and physical networks. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
Duties:
- Follow direction from Lead Technician as required to complete projects
- Install low-voltage systems according to blueprints and/or work orders up to and including but not limited to:
* Cabling (Category Fiber)
* Access Control device installation
* Intrusion device installation
* CCTV device installation
* Audio/video device installation
- Maintain accurate documentation of all installations
Requirements:
- Following safety protocols as provided during training and by your lead technician
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and their proper usage.
- CAT6 termination and testing
- Wiring up and installing devices such as control panels, cameras, electronic locks and network hardware. Minimal experience required here, we are willing to train a motivated candidate
- Proficient in creating cabling pathways and pulling cable. EMT conduit experience is preferred but not required. Must be willing to learn EMT - we will gladly train.
- Great pride in your work, including cable management, mounting devices level, and general attention to detail. Strong desire to "just do it once".
- Comfortable working up to 40-foot scissor lift height. We occasionally use boom lifts, but most work is done on ladders or scissors. Heavy equipment training is included with this role
- Familiarity with various cabling types such as Category, Fiber and Security Cabling
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment installation and maintenance
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- 3 years minimum experience required. 5 years experience preferred.

Important note on tools - Though listed as "tools provided", you are expected to provide your own basic hand tools such as wire strippers and a drill. We offer electronic test equipment, a multimeter, ladders, PPE, cable certifiers, a laptop, STS drills, conduit tools, and all replenishable items such as drill bits, electrical tape and Velcro
