What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Technician position at Low Voltage Specialties, LLC?
Responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems. This role supports the successful delivery of projects involving communication, security, and life-safety systems while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.
- Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling systems, including data, voice, and fiber optics
- Install and service low-voltage systems such as access control, CCTV, fire alarm, and intrusion systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Troubleshoot system issues and perform corrective repairs
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and documentation
- Ensure work is completed in compliance with NEC, local codes, and company standards
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner
- Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, and clients
- Adhere to project schedules and quality expectations
Overnight Travel is required for this position within the state of Iowa and throughout the country.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
