Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inspector Machine Shop to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems to verify dimensional accuracy and surface quality to ensure quality after they are completed including components, subassemblies and assemblies..
- Responsible for examining materials for quality and defects. Ensures that operators are making quality parts materials from suppliers before sending them to production line and that equipment, and materials are used properly to maximize productivity. Must understand Richter’s work order and quality system.
- Perform detailed quality audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and FFL (Federal Firearms License) regulations.
- Utilize calibration procedures to maintain the accuracy of measurement tools and equipment regularly.
- Document inspection results accurately by collecting data, maintaining inspection logs, and preparing detailed reports for quality management review.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions aligned with quality systems and QA/QC standards.
- Support internal and external quality audits by providing necessary documentation and demonstrating adherence to established protocols.
- Assist in developing and updating inspection procedures, work instructions, and calibration schedules to ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards.
- Measure, analyze and test products using instruments and equipment, including taking samples.
- Order materials.
- Be able to communicate with customers to make sure to meet there quality expectations.
- Ensure company is meeting the standard codes in the manufacturing process.
- Properly document pass/fail grade of products.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or machine shop environments with a focus on quality control or inspection roles.
- Hands-on expertise with precision measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001 (quality management systems), and FFL (Federal Firearms Licenses).
- Strong analysis skills for identifying deviations from specifications and implementing corrective actions effectively.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of calibration procedures and maintaining measurement instrument accuracy over time.

- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer; intermittent standing and walking.
- Dexterity is mandatory as this job requires frequent use of hands and fingers.
- Will be required to talk, hear, and see. Vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and ability to differentiate between colors.
- Occasional lifting and moving of up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand 8-10 hours a day.
Work Environment:
- This position is in a manufacturing setting.
- Indoor work which may not be temperature controlled.
- Exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
