At Richmond Community Services, we empower individuals with developmental disabilities to live rich, full lives. We are seeking a skilled and mission-driven Residential Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our group homes and ensure the highest quality of care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote and model person-centered thinking, family-focused values, and self-determination.
Develop and implement Comprehensive Functional Assessments (CFAs), goals, and services using the PCP approach.
Oversee medical care coordination with nursing staff; monitor medical protocols, diet plans, and follow-up on health services.
Supervise, train, and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other staff; provide feedback, manage performance, and ensure staffing coverage.
Ensure compliance with OPWDD, OSHA, Willowbrook Injunction, and Richmond Community Services (RCS) policies.
Maintain current, confidential, and organized individual case records.
Plan and oversee community-based activities and ensure individual goals are implemented and documented.
Manage financial responsibilities including payroll reviews, petty cash, SSI fund tracking, and billing submissions.
Serve as a key point of communication between families, guardians, staff, and internal departments.
Maintain safe, clean, and regulatory-compliant home environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or Registered Nurse license with at least 3 years of relevant management experience in developmental disabilities or At least 3 years of direct supervisory experience and proven ability to independently manage a group home.
Experience with person-centered planning and positive behavioral supports preferred.
Strong alignment with RCS mission and values, and dedication to supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to complete required certifications: Medication Administration, CPR, and SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention).
Valid NYS driver’s license and Richmond Driver Authorization required.
Access to a personal vehicle for travel between agency sites.
