Billing Clerk

Join BPI Recycling—a joint venture in which RHI Magnesita is a partner—as an Invoicing Clerk based at the main office in Pittsburgh, PA. In this full‑time role, you will ensure invoices are reviewed, processed, and addressed accurately and on time. You will work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams to maintain invoicing accuracy, support workflow efficiency, and uphold strong financial documentation practices.

Core Responsibilities And Tasks

• Manage daily invoicing operations for both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer invoices and vendor bills.
• Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
• Extracting data from our internal systems, i.e. SAP, and manipulating it into a usable format.
• Organizing, collecting, and distributing invoices to our plants for approvals.
• Ability to analyze and process invoices quickly and accurately.
• Work cross functionally with invoicing counterparts and accountant.
• Ensure invoices align with contracts, pricing agreements, purchase orders, and delivery documentation.
• Review and resolve billing discrepancies, credit memos, rebills, and pricing adjustments.
  
  

Position Requirements

• Formal Education (Preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in accounting, finance, or business.
• Knowledge & Experience (Preferred)
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and online platforms, with data analysis capabilities
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to bring diverse perspectives into discussions
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while multitasking.
