As a Quality Technician, you’ll be hands-on in ensuring our refractory materials meet the high‑performance standards required for some of the toughest industrial environments. From testing and analyzing materials to supporting continuous improvement, you’ll help drive product integrity, operational reliability, and safety across the plant. Your work directly contributes to the quality of products used in steelmaking, cement production, and other extreme‑temperature processes.

From testing and analyzing materials to supporting continuous improvement, you’ll help drive product integrity, operational reliability, and safety across the plant. Your work directly contributes to the quality of products used in steelmaking, cement production, and other extreme‑temperature processes.
What You’ll Do
Champion Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols while performing tests and handling materials.
- Ensure QC activities meet environmental, health, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct physical and chemical testing of refractory materials (bricks, mortars, castables).
- Perform tests such as compressive strength, porosity, and density.
- Inspect products at various manufacturing stages to ensure they meet specifications.
- Document test results, inspections, and quality findings.
- Keep organized logs for certifications, customer requirements, and audits.
- Provide timely updates to the QC Manager and production teams.
- Identify deviations from standards and report nonconforming materials or processes.
- Participate in root‑cause investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Support implementation and follow-up to ensure effectiveness.
- Perform regular calibration of lab and testing equipment.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting or maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
- Work closely with production and procurement teams to resolve material quality issues.
- Help train production employees on material quality expectations and best practices.
- Experience with laboratory testing procedures or technical testing equipment.
- High attention to detail and the ability to identify irregularities.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Hands-on work with testing equipment and refractory materials.
- Occasional lifting and work around high‑temperature environments.
- May require shift work or overtime aligned with production needs.
