Our client, a growing industrial equipment and power systems organization is adding an experienced Electrical/Power Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and commissioning of custom electrical equipment and complex power distribution systems.

This is a highly visible role within a specialized, collaborative team where engineering plays a direct role in project success, client satisfaction, and continued company growth. The environment is hands-on, solutions-oriented, and well suited to an engineer who enjoys seeing projects through from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems and schematics for custom industrial equipment and power distribution applications
- Support switchgear, control panel, and power distribution design and integration
- Collaborate closely with fabrication, field service, and project teams to ensure successful build and commissioning
- Participate in equipment testing, troubleshooting, and system validation
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning (remote and occasional on-site)
- Interface with clients to review specifications, drawings, and project requirements
- Assist with continuous improvement of engineering processes, documentation, and standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 3–10 years of experience in industrial electrical, power systems, or equipment design
- Experience with switchgear, motor controls, power distribution, or custom industrial equipment preferred
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and industrial environments
- Ability to troubleshoot and support field commissioning as needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Experience
- Medium voltage (MV) or power distribution systems
- Relay protection or controls engineering
- Industrial automation or controls integration
- Field engineering or commissioning experience
- PE or EIT certification (a plus, not required)
