RETTEW is seeking an experienced Engineer of Record (EOR) to join our Municipal Team. This position will play a key role in leading the engineering design and delivery of municipal water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects across Pennsylvania.

Position Summary / What You’ll Do
As an Engineer of Record, you will provide technical leadership and professional engineering oversight on municipal projects, ensuring high-quality, code-compliant designs. You’ll serve as the signing/sealing engineer, mentor project engineers, and partner with project managers to deliver solutions that meet client goals.
Work Environment: Hybrid
Responsibilities / Day-to-Day
- Lead engineering design efforts and serve as Engineer of Record for municipal projects.
- Prepare and/or review engineering plans, specifications, and calculations for accuracy and compliance.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to project engineers and designers.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure project delivery is on time and within budget.
- Interface with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders as needed.
- Ensure adherence to professional engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania.
- 8 years of progressive engineering experience in municipal water, wastewater, or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated ability to serve as Engineer of Record on design projects.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers.
- Client-facing experience with municipal clients in Pennsylvania.
