About the Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on, highly organized Multi-Venue Live Event Concessions Operations Manager to oversee food and beverage operations across several premier entertainment venues throughout the Colorado market.
This is not a traditional restaurant management role. This position is responsible for leading large-scale live event food operations, ensuring exceptional execution during concerts, festivals, sporting events, and other high-volume entertainment experiences.
The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands food safety and compliance at a high level, and can effectively lead teams through high-pressure event execution.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Venue Operations Leadership
- Oversee concession operations across multiple entertainment venues throughout the region.
- Travel between venues to support event execution and operational consistency.
- Ensure all locations maintain company standards, partner requirements, and guest service expectations.
- Serve as the primary operational leader during live events.
Event Execution
- Manage food and beverage operations during concerts, festivals, sporting events, and special events.
- Coordinate staffing, setup, service execution, and event breakdown.
- Ensure efficient service during peak-volume periods while maintaining product quality.
- Monitor guest experience and resolve operational issues in real time.
Team Leadership & Staffing
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 30 event staff members.
- Maintain proper staffing levels through recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and retention efforts.
- Create and manage event schedules and seasonal staffing plans.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Maintain strict adherence to all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Ensure compliance with venue-specific operating standards and third-party partner requirements.
- Verify proper food handling, storage, cleanliness, and safety procedures are consistently followed.
- Ensure required certifications and training standards are maintained across all shifts.
Inventory & Logistics
- Manage inventory levels and ensure products are available for all scheduled events.
- Coordinate product movement between venues when necessary.
- Receive deliveries and oversee storage and inventory organization.
- Monitor food usage and waste, adjusting ordering and production levels accordingly.
- Communicate supply needs and special ordering requirements to leadership.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed at every event.
- Utilize and improve operational checklists and systems.
- Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance needs.
- Maintain detailed event logs documenting staffing, operational issues, inventory concerns, guest feedback, and equipment performance.
- Communicate all significant operational issues and opportunities to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- 3 years of restaurant, concessions, catering, hospitality, or food service management experience.
- Multi-unit, multi-venue, or high-volume operational leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in live events, sports venues, amphitheaters, entertainment venues, catering, or high-volume QSR environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience managing labor, scheduling, staffing, and operational logistics.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure environments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between venues as needed.
