Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a background in property management to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing the finances of multiple commercial and residential rental properties. This role offers stability, a supportive work environment, and the opportunity to work directly with both property owners and tenants.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee finances for various rental properties, both commercial and residential
· Track property income and expenses, including rent, late fees, and utility bills
· Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices, taxes, and mortgage payments, using specialized property management software
· Process accounts receivable, including tenant payments, through specialized software
· Provide accurate financial reporting and maintain organized records
· Communicate effectively with property owners and tenants, assisting with daily needs and inquiries
Qualifications
· Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally within property management
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
· Proficiency in property management/accounting software
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Strong communication and customer service skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
