JOB DESCRIPTION: Manage and support the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, cash management, and risk management.
Primary Responsibility
Oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
Lead the monthly and quarterly close process and perform month-end journals and associated balance sheet account reconciliations.
Prepare weekly cash flow forecast and cash allocation analysis.
Liaison with external auditors and support annual audit activities
Prepare bank covenant testing documentation for lending group.
Identify accounting issues on B/S and P/L statements; identify trends and suggest solutions.
Coordinate with AP and AR specialists to ensure proper and timely account management.
File monthly/quarterly sales taxes and real estate taxes.
Proactively look for process improvement opportunities within the finance department.
Assist with year-end planning and budgeting for following year.
Mentor and develop the accounting team.
Assist in the preparation of monthly income statement analysis schedules for senior management.
Lead the revenue recognition process and compliance.
Deliver knowledge and insight into technical accounting issues and train direct reports on complex issues as needed.
Deliver accounting and financial reporting requirements consistent with a privately held company.
Support ERP implementation, upgrades, and ongoing system optimization.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; Active CPA license
Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of cost accounting a plus
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office. MAS 90/Sage 100 experience a plus

Ability to foster teamwork within the Finance Department and with other departments.
o Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as business demands.
