RN-Per Diem

Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. is seeking a respite/per diem Registered Nurse at our community residence for adolescents ages 12-18 with significant mental health concerns qualifying for SED (Serious Emotional Disturbance) located in Oneonta, NY.

Working with youth in a residential setting is a fun, high energy, fast paced dynamic that provides many rewarding experiences and the opportunity to foster positive growth and change in the lives of others.

Qualified candidates must be licensed as a registered professional nurse by the New York State Education Department and have at least 1 year of experience providing direct nursing care. The qualified candidate will be responsible for duties including, but not limited to conducting health assessments, monitoring, and coordinating medication, providing staff, client and family education, coordinating medical care, training the staff team in medication management/certification, providing crisis intervention services and providing on-call services. Completion of criminal background check and clearance by the NYS Child Abuse & Maltreatment registry is required.

Must be a Registered Nurse through the NYS Department of Education

On-call responsibilities

Hours: Generally Monday – Friday but vary depending on program needs; weekends as needed.

Other Requirements:

- Valid driver's license

- Successful completion of a background check including Justice Center and New York State Office of Children and Families Statewide Central Register Database clearance.
