What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Event Operations position at Redline Rising?
Redline Rising is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building the infrastructure for how society measures cognitive performance. We operate at the intersection of neuroscience, motorsport, and education, running live cognitive performance measurement sessions at competitions, schools, and professional events nationwide.
We are looking for a Director of Event Operations to manage the logistics and on-the-ground execution of REDLINE INDEX cognitive performance sessions at live events. You will own participant flow, data entry, equipment coordination, and scheduling so that every session runs cleanly without pulling organizational leadership away from content delivery and stakeholder engagement.
This is a volunteer leadership position with direct exposure to live event production, cognitive science programming, and motorsport education environments.
Responsibilities:
Manage participant check-in, sign-up sheets, and session scheduling at live events.
Operate the REDLINE INDEX data entry console during cognitive performance sessions.
Coordinate equipment setup and logistics with venue staff and third-party providers.
Maintain participant flow so that sessions run on time with minimal gaps.
Handle on-site communications with event organizers, volunteers, and participants.
Support post-event data reconciliation and session documentation.
Qualifications (must-have):
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage time-sensitive workflows.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, in-person event environments.
Available to travel to events as needed.
Qualifications (preferred):
Prior experience in event operations, production, or logistics.
Interest in cognitive science, motorsport, or education.
Familiarity with data entry systems or CRM tools.
Experience managing volunteers or small teams on-site.
