Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in managing litigation matters from inception through resolution. This full-time, in-office position requires strong organizational skills, experience with court filings and docket management, legal research capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, proofread, and organize legal pleadings, correspondence, and court filings.
- File pleadings electronically with Federal and State Courts and governmental agencies.
- Maintain litigation calendars, case dockets, and critical deadlines.
- Conduct legal research using platforms such as Lexis and other legal research databases.
- Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, discovery materials, and litigation records.
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and governmental agencies.
- Manage multiple attorney assignments and prioritize competing deadlines.
- Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with court requirements.
- Utilize case management software and Microsoft Office applications to support litigation activities.
Qualifications
- Associate degree and formal paralegal education preferred.
- Minimum of 5β10 years of litigation paralegal experience or equivalent legal experience.
- Experience with electronic filing systems in Federal and State Courts.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and docket management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using legal research and case management platforms such as Lexis and MyCase.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proofreading, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
