We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager with a strong background in construction project controls, cost management, forecasting, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting large-scale pharmaceutical, biotech, GMP, R&D, or complex commercial construction projects.
This role will be responsible for managing project cost controls, budgets, forecasting, reporting, change management, and financial performance across major capital projects ranging from $500M–$1B .
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project controls cost functions and support overall project financial performance.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, commitments, actual costs, change orders, and cost reporting.
- Develop and maintain cost control systems, tracking tools, and project controls processes.
- Perform cost forecasting, variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial reporting.
- Manage Earned Value Management (EVM), productivity tracking, CPI/SPI metrics, and progress measurement.
- Support project managers with cost reporting, contract negotiations, and change order evaluations.
- Develop and maintain project cash flow, commitment tracking, and cost projections.
- Identify project risks, evaluate cost impacts, and support risk mitigation strategies.
- Review contractor invoices, validate costs, and ensure contractual compliance.
- Support procurement, estimating, and contract management activities.
- Assist with project closeout and maintain historical cost data and lessons learned.
Required Qualifications:
- 7–10 years of experience in Project Controls, Cost Control, or Construction Project Management.
- Strong experience with construction cost management, estimating, forecasting, and reporting.
- Experience supporting large-scale pharmaceutical, biotech, GMP, R&D, or complex facility construction projects.
- Proven experience managing projects valued between $500M and $1B .
- Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, change management, and risk management.
- Experience with project controls processes including budgeting, scheduling, cost tracking, and performance reporting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing facilities.
- GMP-regulated construction environments.
- Large capital improvement or greenfield construction projects.
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
