Insurance Coverage Attorney (remote possibility)

The firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of experience joining its Insurance Coverage Practice Group in Atlanta. This role offers substantial hands-on litigation experience and direct collaboration with seasoned trial attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on active litigation matters
• Manage cases through all stages of litigation, from initial filing through trial and appeal
• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
• Prepare and argue motions as appropriate
• Conduct thorough legal research and provide strategic case analysis
• Draft coverage opinions and declaratory judgment actions
• Maintain and manage multiple case files and court deadlines
• Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active member in good standing with the Georgia Bar, or eligible for Admission on Motion without Examination
• 3–5 years of experience in insurance coverage and civil litigation
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience handling first-party property claims (hurricane, fire, water, business interruption, etc.) preferred
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative litigation team
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound professional judgment
• Demonstrated interest in developing long-term civil trial practice expertise
