Shipping & Receiving Associate

Location: Indianapolis, IN
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19–$23 per hour per hour, with higher compensation considered for candidates with advanced mechanical experience, technical skills, or industry expertise.

Position Summary

We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working Shipping & Receiving Associate to support material flow within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring production and shipments stay on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials, inspect for damage, and verify quantities
• Unload trucks and move materials to production or storage areas
• Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments
• Label, palletize, and prepare materials for shipment
• Enter and track transactions in ERP system (D365 preferred)
• Maintain organized material storage areas to support production flow
• Assist with inventory and cycle counts
• Communicate shortages, damages, or discrepancies to leadership
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use material handling equipment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in shipping/receiving or material handling in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Basic computer skills; ERP experience a plus
• Ability to read and understand shipping and receiving documents
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred or willingness to be trained

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work throughout the shift in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to safely use tools and equipment required for the role, lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and perform work activities that require movement, lifting, and positioning throughout the facility.
