What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving and Shipping Associate position at Electro-Spec, Inc?
Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring that all orders are accurately packaged and shipped and received according to customer requirements
- Examines outgoing shipment contents and compares with records (such as manifests, invoices or orders) to verify accuracy, and resolves any discrepancies.
- Prepares and reviews documents, such as packing lists, bill of lading, customer supplied documents and internal documents
- Stages and palletizes product in warehouse
- Assists with the loading of shipments and customer pick ups
- Performs light quality control and visual inspection of paperwork and products as packing and shipping as it compares to print to part, if applicable.
- Receives product deliveries while ensuring order accuracy per defined system.
- Tags and identifies parts in receiving.
- Manages "customer hold" and "Kanban" inventory with CSR
- Loads unloads trucks
- Brings up any discrepancy or damaged shipments with appropriate personnel
- Degreasing parts per work order and/or customer specification.
- Observes all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintains a clean work area
- Maintain a high level of performance
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement
- High School Diploma
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written
- Ability to multitask and understanding the concept of prioritizing
- Basic math/counting skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must be trained to operate forklift
- Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular and consistent basis
- Hours :
Normal shift hours are 7 am – 5:30 pm. M-Th
