Key Qualifications
• 5 years of legal billing or e-billing experience in a law firm
• Experience with BillBlast preferred; eBillingHub also considered
• Hands-on experience with new matter setup, client onboarding, and managing e-billing systems
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy; strong compliance mindset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
Role Overview
The E-Billing Analyst will oversee all aspects of electronic billing, support client onboarding and system implementations, and ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely. This individual will collaborate closely with attorneys, assistants, and internal finance staff while maintaining compliance with firm procedures and client billing guidelines.
Responsibilities
• Manage e-billing implementation for new clients and platform transitions
• Submit, track, and reconcile invoices through various vendor systems
• Troubleshoot technical issues with e-billing platforms and internal teams
• Research and resolve invoice rejections, reductions, and appeals
• Ensure compliance with client Outside Counsel Guidelines and firm policies
• Conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy and consistency
• Review new matter and timekeeper setups and take required actions
• Develop best practices, documentation, and training materials
• Support billing functions including rate submissions, accruals, and year-end needs
• Generate reports to support collections and reconciliation
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior billing or support staff as needed
Skills & Technical Requirements
• Prior law firm billing or e-billing experience
• Familiarity with BillBlast, eBillingHub, and common vendor systems
• Strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Education & Experience
• High school diploma required; accounting coursework preferred
• Minimum 5 years of law firm e-billing experience required
• Experience with BillBlast or eBillingHub preferred
