Summary
Our client is seeking a competent Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. The ideal candidate practices independently, demonstrates high situational awareness, and provides both routine and complex care. You will manage contingencies in clinical nursing and delegate tasks effectively to the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation process.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
- Assess learning needs and provide essential education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (Emergency Department) preferred.
- Licensure: Valid RN License in the state of employment or a multi-state compact license.
- Certification: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
- Onboarding: Experienced RNs must attend orientation within the first 30 days of hire. Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program.
Credential Grace Periods
Note: Grace periods to obtain certifications depend on your experience level.
- BLS: No grace period; required at time of hire.
- ACLS / PALS: Experienced (30 days) / New Graduate or New to Specialty (90 days).
- TNCC / TCAR: Experienced (60 days) / New Graduate or New to Specialty (18 months).
- NRP / STABLE / FHM: Experienced (30 days) / New Graduate or New to Specialty (60 days).
