Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to support plant CAPEX projects, equipment development, and upgrades. This role focuses on optimizing plant operations, increasing capacity, improving safety, and enhancing equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile OEM information (operation and maintenance manuals) and develop preventative maintenance routines (PMRs), spare requirements, and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment
- Provide technical expertise to all process areas
- Prepare cost estimates and justifications for the capital plan
- Create projects in PPM and manage planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of plant projects
- Interface with contractors and vendors for equipment evaluation, procurement, and field supervision
- Support preventative/predictive maintenance programs, including inspection, vibration analysis, oil analysis, and NDT
- Lead Design Safety Construction Quality Program (DSCQP) inspections for steel and concrete structures, and develop risk mitigation plans
- Analyze and eliminate repetitive problems using root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA, Pareto analysis, and statistical reviews
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or 5 years of equivalent experience
- Experience: 5 years in heavy industrial mechanical maintenance, mechanical project work, plant construction, or supervision
- Technical Skills: SAP, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Travel Requirements: Approximately 5%

- Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators where required
- Clean-shaven as required for respirator fit tests
