Job Summary
The Application System Analyst II serves as a liaison between business users, operational leaders, and technical teams to design, implement, and support enterprise applications. This role focuses on optimizing system performance, improving workflows, and ensuring high-quality application support within a healthcare or business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Application Support & Development
- Analyze, design, configure, test, and maintain assigned applications
- Support system optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner
Business & Technical Analysis
- Gather and analyze business requirements and workflows
- Perform process mapping, gap analysis, and solution design
- Translate operational needs into system configurations
Project Implementation
- Participate in medium to high complexity projects including testing, documentation, and deployment
- Provide status updates and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to change management and system standards
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a liaison between users, IT teams, and vendors
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and support cross-functional initiatives
- Provide training and guidance to users and junior team members
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and system standards
- Maintain documentation for system configurations and processes
- Support system audits and performance monitoring
Qualifications
Education
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, information systems, or related field preferred
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in application support, systems analysis, or related field
- Experience in healthcare systems or enterprise applications preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
Certifications
- Relevant certifications preferred
- For Epic-related roles: certification or proficiency in assigned module required within 6 months of hire
