Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a Pharmacy Buyer responsible for procurement, inventory management, and regulatory compliance related to pharmaceutical supplies. This role supports pharmacy operations and ensures availability of medications for patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of medications and pharmacy supplies
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and stock control
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and credits accurately
- Ensure compliance with 340B and other regulatory programs
- Monitor drug recalls and coordinate removal and documentation
- Support pricing controls and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate pharmaceutical records and documentation
- Coordinate receiving, storage, and distribution of medications
- Assist with third-party claims processing and reconciliation
- Support audits and compliance reporting requirements
- Assist in training staff on inventory management processes
- Participate in annual inventory counts and inspections
Safety & Work Conditions
- May involve exposure to hazardous substances, including pharmaceutical agents
- Requires adherence to safety protocols and proper handling procedures
- Physical activity may include lifting and handling supplies
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (as required by jurisdiction)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of pharmacy technician or related experience
- Experience in pharmaceutical purchasing or inventory management
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory tracking systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools
