Accounting and Finance Manager
[ Summary ]
We are seeking a hands-on Accounting & Finance Manager to oversee full-cycle accounting and financial operations for our U.S. entity. This role will play a key part in transitioning accounting functions from an outsourced provider to an in-house structure.
The ideal candidate will lead financial reporting, manage closing processes, and serve as a strategic partner to both local leadership and overseas headquarters.
- [ Essential Duties ]Lead the transition of accounting operations (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable) from an external provider to an internal team, including system selection, implementation, and internal control design
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Prepare and present timely financial reports to the overseas parent company
- Monitor cash flow and conduct budget-to-actual variance analysis to support decision-making
- Provide actionable financial insights and guidance to cross-functional teams
- Manage employee expense reimbursement processes and ensure compliance with company policies
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors
- Collaborate with retail operations on inventory accounting and store-level financial analysis

- [ Qualifications ]Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems and expense management platforms
- Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English, with strong communication skills across diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while balancing strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations
- Flexibility to attend meetings across multiple time zones
Salary : $110,000 - $135,000
