Emergency Room RN

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) plays a vital role in delivering prompt, efficient, and high-quality nursing care to patients in critical and urgent health situations. Working within a medium-sized team and reporting directly to the ER Nurse Manager, the ER RN is responsible for managing patient triage, emergency interventions, and ongoing monitoring during night shifts. This role demands quick decision-making, effective communication, and coordination with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high-pressure environment.

Per Diem Shifts

Shift Details
• Nights, 1900 to 0730
• Shift Differential PR for Weekend Shifts!
• Pre-Booking available via Shifts App!
• Facility Expectation: 4 Shifts/Month

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and monitoring during emergencies
• Conduct triage to prioritize patient treatment
• Respond rapidly to emergency situations
• Administer medications accurately and safely
• Document patient status and interventions in medical records
• Coordinate care within a medium-sized emergency team
• Maintain infection control protocols
• Provide patient education and support
• Operate necessary medical equipment
• Intervene effectively in crisis situations
• Communicate clearly with patients and care team members

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in nursing
• 2 years of recent ER experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - WA RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced certifications: ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Proficiency in patient assessment, critical care, and emergency medicine
• Experience with IV therapy and electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to manage stress and make effective decisions under pressure
