Job Summary:
The Production Material Control (PMC) role supports production planning, material delivery and
readiness, and manufacturing execution to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules. This position works closely with cross‑functional teams to maintain smooth operations and prevent
shortages or delays.
The PMC department aligns production planning, material coordination, and manufacturing execution to meet customer demand. The team works closely with Program Management, Production, Engineering, Warehouse, Receiving, Procurement, and external partners to ensure materials are available at the right time to support production schedules while minimizing shortages, delays, and excess inventory. PMC operates in coordination with headquarters planning functions while executing localized production and material control activities to support daily operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities
• Monitor material availability, production status, and order readiness to support manufacturing
execution.
• Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Receiving, Engineering, and Program teams to ensure
alignment on material and production requirements.
• Track and maintain accurate data in SAP or internal systems, including inventory, work orders,
and production updates. Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and
documentation.
• Identify material risks, shortages, or delays and take action to resolve or escalate issues in a timely
manner.
• Support execution of production input plans and operational priorities.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with internal teams and headquarters as needed.
Material Control / Production Control
• Monitor material readiness and validate inventory against production requirements.
• Track work orders through production systems and ensure alignment with material availability.

• Identify discrepancies such as incorrect parts, shortages, or system mismatches and drive resolution.
• Manage documentation accuracy, including part numbers, BOM alignment, and system updates.
• Support issue resolution for material and production constraints impacting execution.
Planning / Scheduling
• Develop and maintain production schedules based on input plans, material availability, and
capacity conditions.
• Coordinate with Material Control to confirm build readiness and material status.
• Monitor production capacity, priorities, and constraints; adjust schedules as needed to meet
production goals.
• Communicate schedule updates, risks, and changes to cross‑functional teams.
• Ensure production plans are aligned with operational capability, material availability, and
customer requirements.
Competencies
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, material flow, and supply chain operations to support
efficient material movement from receiving to production readiness.
• Experience using ERP systems for tracking inventory, material status, and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
• Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate across multiple teams and functions.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or material planning preferred.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of inventory control, production coordination, or scheduling concepts preferred
