Job Summary:
The HR Coordinator supports the HR department by performing various administrative tasks and services to maintain and enhance the organization's human resources functions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with the onboarding and new employee orientation process by providing administrative support, preparing new hire documents and materials, delivering orientation presentations, and supporting new employees in completing required steps, including I-9 verification, background checks, and drug testing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR information, enter new hire information, create new hire folders, and manage HR filing systems.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a professional and confidential manner.
- Prepare and submit required HR reports and documentation as needed.
- Assist with internal communications by sending required notifications to employees and posting HR-related information on communication boards.
- Support various HR projects and initiatives, such as training and benefit open enrollment.
- Constantly ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual in English/Vietnamese or English/Spanish.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR support role or similar position.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department and building at the organization's facilities.
- Full-time position based in Fremont, CA.
Salary : $28 - $31
