As our Senior Technical Manager – Air Quality, GHG & Noise for our Environmental Services group in our San Diego, CA office, you'll lead and contribute to high-impact environmental work across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects. You'll deliver technical excellence in air quality, greenhouse gas, and noise analyses while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support CEQA and NEPA compliance.

What You'll Do
In this role, you'll serve as both a technical expert and trusted advisor, helping deliver compliant, high-quality environmental documentation and analysis.
- Lead Air Quality, GHG & Noise Analyses: Prepare technical studies supporting CEQA and NEPA documentation across a range of project types
- Modeling & Technical Assessment: Perform emissions, health risk, and noise modeling using tools such as CalEEMod, AERMOD, EMFAC, HARP, OFFROAD, SoundPlan, TNM, and Excel
- Client & Project Support: Act as a key technical contact, providing guidance, recommendations, and responsive communication to clients and internal teams
- Mentorship & Team Leadership: Support junior staff development and foster collaboration within multidisciplinary project teams
- Business Development Support: Contribute to proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, client interviews, and marketing efforts
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to deliver practical, compliant, and innovative environmental solutions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Planning, or related field
- 20 years of professional experience in air quality, GHG, and noise analysis supporting CEQA and NEPA
- Deep experience with modeling tools including CalEEMod, AERMOD, EMFAC, HARP, OFFROAD, SoundPlan, TNM, and Excel
- Strong understanding of federal and state regulations (CEQA, NEPA, Clean Air Act)
- Excellent technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage complex assignments and collaborate across teams and clients
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $150,000–$175,000 (commensurate with experience)
