As our Civil Engineer Designer for our Engineering team in Tucson, AZ, you'll contribute to the planning, analysis, and design of stormwater, flood control, and water/wastewater systems while growing your technical skills alongside experienced mentors. What You'll Do
You'll work on water resources & flood control related projects and provide related support to multidisciplinary engineering projects through design, analysis, and technical documentation, working closely with project managers and design teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Hydrologic & Hydraulic Modeling: Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and related calculations
- Technical Reporting & Documentation: Support technical reports, memorandums, and project documentation
- Infrastructure Planning & Design Support: Assist with planning, analysis, and design of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure
- Fieldwork & Project Coordination: Participate in field visits, data collection, and coordination with project teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- 0-4 years of civil engineering design experience
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification or can be obtained within 1 year of hire
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PC-Hydro Flo-2D)
- Experience using Civil 3D, OpenRoads, GIS software
- Active in or desire to participate in industry related organizations
