We are seeking a motivated advanced tax planning associate attorney with experience or interest in advanced tax and estate planning to support a robust and growing estate and tax planning transactional practice. This role involves advising clients on tax and estate planning matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, intellectually curious, client-focused, and able to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, in-office environment.

- Work exclusively with high net worth clients; those with taxable estates.
- Prepare and suggest advanced estate planning alternatives, including: advanced wills and revocable trusts; gifts and sales to irrevocable grantor trusts; charitable trusts and foundations; grantor retained annuity trusts and qualified personal residence trusts.
- Prepare, review, revise transfer tax returns, like Form 709 and Form 706; represent clients in IRS audits.
- Conduct trust modifications by decanting, NJSA, and court action.
- Delegate work to junior associates, supervise the same, and train associates and paralegals.
- Billable Expectations & Bonus:
- Annual billable hour requirement: 1,400 hours
- Eligible for a performance-based bonus upon meeting billable requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; LL.M. a plus, but not required.
- Licensed and in good standing with the Colorado Bar (or eligible for admission)
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
