We are looking for a candidate that has the ability to prioritize, multi-task and is excited about working with our Team. We handle several types of law, but the majority of our claims are workers compensation and personal injury. We have a proven record of fighting hard on behalf of our clients and obtaining the largest settlements or judgments possible.

A typical day for a workers compensation paralegal consist of the following:
3 years of workers compensation experience or legal experience, the ability to prioritize and multitask, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be deadline and detail-oriented. Salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
A typical day for a workers compensation paralegal consist of the following:
- New client interview or telephone screening with the assistance of an Intake Department.
- Determine claim status and e-filing with the Commission when necessary.
- Verify parties in proceedings.
- Research prior work and outside injuries.
- Obtain claim information, medical authorizations, and causation letters.
- Ascertain issues in dispute.
- Submit client milage, prescription and reimbursements.
- Contact client's treating physicians to coordinate medical care and treatment.
- Conduct periodic reviews and evaluation of claim.
- Review and organize claim documentation.
- Schedule and prepare client for Independent Medical Evaluation (IME) appointment.
- Prepare and submit medicals to IME physician.
- File issues for Permanent Partial Disability (PPD)
- Prepare for hearing or move to settlement if applicable.
- Update client on hearing results or settlement status.
- Tracking the claim on SOL's for possible worsening of condition.
3 years of workers compensation experience or legal experience, the ability to prioritize and multitask, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be deadline and detail-oriented. Salary commensurate with experience.
