- Supervise daily accounts payable operations and ensure timely invoice processing and payments.
- Oversee data entry of vendor invoices into accounting software.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions with monthly vendor statements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures, and company policies.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
- Coordinate weekly subcontractor payroll activities across multiple locations.
- Prepare weekly check runs, material payments, and subcontractor payroll.
- Maintain vendor records including Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and W-9 documentation.
- Update and maintain financial tracking spreadsheets and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Monitor financial data accuracy and support process improvements.
- Minimum 4-5 years of accounts payable experience.
- 3-5 years of construction industry experience required.
- Strong familiarity with accounting and ERP software such as Jonas Premier, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar systems.
- Experience with account reconciliation and financial data analysis.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
