Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and review medical history
- Examine oral cavity and document conditions
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing
- Conduct periodontal charting and assist with treatment planning
- Apply fluoride treatments and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Administer local anesthesia (as permitted)
- Assist dentist chairside using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Take and process dental X-rays
- Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols
- Support daily clinic operations and patient scheduling
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Hawaii
- Certification to administer local anesthesia
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Open to new graduates
- 1-2 years of experience preferred
- Prior experience in general dentistry is a plus
