Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Location: Honolulu, HI

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Schedule: Monday-Wednesday & Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), Saturday (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

Role Overview

We are seeking a friendly and licensed Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join a busy, team-oriented general dentistry practice. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality dental hygiene care, support chairside procedures, and ensure a comfortable patient experience. This role offers a supportive environment with modern equipment and updated dental technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental procedures and review medical history
• Examine oral cavity and document conditions
• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing
• Conduct periodontal charting and assist with treatment planning
• Apply fluoride treatments and educate patients on oral hygiene
• Administer local anesthesia (as permitted)
• Assist dentist chairside using four-handed dentistry techniques
• Take and process dental X-rays
• Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols
• Support daily clinic operations and patient scheduling
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Hawaii
• Certification to administer local anesthesia
• CPR certification
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  
  

Experience Requirements

• Open to new graduates
• 1-2 years of experience preferred
• Prior experience in general dentistry is a plus
