Position Title: HVAC Engineer
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Direct Hire HVAC Engineer opportunity in Richland, WA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Will be responsible for the engineering and coordination of HVAC systems within a nuclear fuel manufacturing facility.
- This role will be engaged throughout all project phases, including planning, design, construction, and startup.
- The HVAC Engineer will lead technical evaluations, oversee the preparation of engineering specifications, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide guidance to teams across multi-disciplinary projects.
- This role requires strong experience in HVAC engineering, regulatory compliance knowledge and an ability to manage complex systems in a regulated environment. This position requires occasional travel.
Job Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of HVAC experience
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local codes, particularly in the context of nuclear or highly regulated industries. Example AG-1, ASME N509, ASME N510, ANSI13.1, WAC BARCT, WAC ALARACT
- Plan, organize, and coordinate HVAC engineering activities, with a focus on the mechanical systems.
- Engage in all project phases, including planning, design oversight, construction, and project startup.
- Provide engineering expertise in the review and development of specifications, ensuring they meet both project needs and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of applicable standards. Example AG-1, ASME N509, ASME N510, ANSI13.1, WAC, SMACNA
