- Assisting with personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, and meal preparation, including special diet needs.
- Using safety precautions, infection control procedures, and proper equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
- Performing secondary tasks such as laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep, when appropriate.
- Maintaining a clean, safe environment and notifying supervisors of hazards or changes in client condition.
- Respecting client confidentiality, privacy, and rights, and providing quality, scope-appropriate care.
- Assisting with medication self-administration and reporting any abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
- At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to encourage client independence and communicate effectively.
