Duties
- Greet prospective tenants with enthusiasm, providing detailed information about available properties and community amenities
- Conduct property tours, highlighting key features and answering questions to facilitate leasing decisions
- Manage lease or rental agreement processes using property management tools such as AppFolio
- Screen applicants by verifying income, rental history, and legal documentation including Section 8 and LIHTC programs
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, filing documents systematically and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations
- Handle client communication via phone, email, and in-person interactions with professionalism and clarity
- Assist with lease renewals, rent collection, and resolving tenant inquiries or conflicts promptly and effectively
- Support property maintenance coordination by communicating tenant needs to facilities management teams
- Upsell additional services or amenities to enhance resident satisfaction and retention while adhering to legal guidelines
- Collaborate with team members on budgeting, conflict management, and achieving occupancy goals
Requirements
- Proven experience with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar tools
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 housing programs
- Previous experience in real estate administrative roles or property leasing preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly phone etiquette and client relationship management expertise
- Ability to negotiate lease terms effectively while maintaining compliance with contracts and legal standards
- Office experience including filing, data entry, Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel) and document management skills
- Conflict resolution skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Experience in property management company environments or facilities management is a plus
- Demonstrated team management abilities and a proactive approach to upselling services for resident satisfaction
