What you'll need to thrive in this role:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license for New Jersey
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong teamwork, organization, and communication skills
- Dedication to supporting students’ educational and social success
As a valued SLP in this position, your core responsibilities will include:
- Assessing, diagnosing, and delivering individualized therapy for students with diverse speech and language needs
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ IEP goals
- Documenting progress, maintaining clear records, and participating in IEP meetings
- Delivering direct and indirect therapy services
- Creating engaging sessions tailored to each student, helping them both inside and outside the classroom setting
