School Speech and Language Pathologist | Newark, New Jersey

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed in Newark, NJ, for a school-based contract position starting ASAP through the end of the school year. This role offers a caseload of approximately 30 students spanning PreK and Middle School (6th-8th grade). There is flexibility to focus entirely on either PreK or Middle School populations, with the expectation of completing compensatory services as required.

Key Qualifications

• Valid SLP credentials with CCC or CFY certification
• Experience working in school settings preferred
• Ability to manage a caseload of 30 students effectively
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of developmental milestones for PreK through Middle School students
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to assigned students
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs
• Document student progress and complete required reports in a timely manner
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to support student success
• Conduct compensatory services as necessary based on student progress and compliance requirements
  
  

Location: Newark, NJ (School setting)

This contract offers a full-time schedule of approximately 37.5 hours per week. The position requires dedication to supporting diverse student populations and the ability to adjust focus between PreK and Middle School groups if necessary.
