This full-time Social Worker position supports students in a school setting, providing essential mental health and social services to enhance their academic and personal development. Located in Woonsocket, RI, this contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with students through individual and group interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one counseling and group social skills sessions to support student well-being
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and community resources to develop effective intervention plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address student needs
- Provide support during the academic year with potential part-time engagement over the summer
Qualifications:
- Current state license as an LMSW, LSW, or LCSW
- School certification through RIDE (Rhode Island Department of Education) is required
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a full-time schedule Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM (with extended hours until 3 PM on Wednesdays)
Location and Schedule:
- Initial placement at the Warren campus with potential transition to the Providence campus for the following school year, contingent on performance and mutual fit
- Monday through Friday, full-time hours as outlined
