Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in a contract position located near Palmer, AK. This in-person role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact—working directly with students to help them develop vital life and academic skills.
In this dynamic setting, you'll play a crucial part in providing around 1,000 minutes of direct student contact each week. You'll collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to create accessible learning environments and facilitate student growth. The need is for three compassionate, knowledgeable OTs dedicated to advancing student success for the school year through May 21, 2027.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in Alaska (AK license required)
- Type C certification is mandatory
- Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy highly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and strategies for student support
- Ability to tailor interventions for diverse needs within the student population
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Motivation to work fully in-person (onsite only; virtual services not considered at this stage)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group OT services to meet students' IEP goals
- Develop, monitor, and report on student progress with thorough and timely documentation
