Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Woodbridge, VA. The Assistant Recreational Manager will support the planning, organizing, and execution of recreational soccer programs. Responsibilities include organizing leagues, maintaining schedules, communicating with players and families, collaborating with coaches and staff, and ensuring a positive experience for all participants. The role also involves overseeing operational tasks such as equipment management, implementing league policies, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills for program planning, scheduling, and equipment management
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with players, parents, coaches, and staff
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude
- Experience in sports management, coaching, or recreation programming is preferred
- Knowledge of soccer rules and regulations is beneficial
- Proficiency in computer applications and tools for program management and communication
- Bachelor’s degree in sports management, recreation, or related field is a plus
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for games and events
