The Assistant Boys Director of Coaching is a full-time, on-site role based in Woodbridge, VA. The role primarily involves supporting the Boys Director of Coaching in planning and executing soccer training programs to advance player and team development. Additional responsibilities include managing and mentoring coaches to enhance their instructional techniques, overseeing staff development initiatives, and engaging with players, parents, and other stakeholders to promote a positive soccer environment.
- Coaching and Player Development experience with a proven ability to guide athletes toward skill growth and performance improvements
- Leadership Development and Staff Development skills to foster the growth of coaches and team leaders
- Experience in Training and implementing structured programs tailored to various skill levels
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with players, parents, and staff
- Ability to manage schedules and responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for soccer and promoting a positive sports culture
- USSF (United States Soccer Federation) coaching licenses or equivalent certifications are preferred
- Previous experience in a leadership or administrative role within a sports organization is a plus
