Primary Services is excited to announce the role of HR Coordinator for its client, a large organization within the energy and regulated public utility sector. The HR Coordinator supports high-volume onboarding and Talent Acquisition functions across multiple business locations. This position ensures onboarding and pre-employment processes are executed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. In this role, you will coordinate candidate movement through HR systems, manage onboarding workflows, and support a seamless experience for new hires entering a structured and compliance-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding activities across multiple business locations ensuring compliant new hire processing.
- Manage pre-employment screening processes including background checks, drug testing, MVR reviews, and credential verification.
- Maintain HRIS and ATS data integrity for applicants, candidates, and new hires.
- Schedule interviews, orientation sessions, and onboarding activities with hiring managers and stakeholders.
- Prepare onboarding documentation, employment correspondence, and pre-hire paperwork.
- Track onboarding status, outstanding requirements, and completion milestones for new hires.
- Support Form I-9 verification and employment eligibility documentation in accordance with federal requirements.
- Maintain employee and recruitment records to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with HR reporting, documentation control, and onboarding process improvement initiatives.
- Provide administrative support for Talent Acquisition workflows and HR operational needs.
Qualifications
- 1β3 years of experience in HR coordination, onboarding, Talent Acquisition support, or HR administration.
- Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience supporting Form I-9 verification and employment eligibility documentation.
- Familiarity with EEO and AAP compliance frameworks preferred.
- Experience in regulated, public sector, utility, or safety-sensitive environments preferred.
- Strong proficiency in data entry accuracy and records management.
- Ability to manage high-volume onboarding activities and competing deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to work in New Orleans Monday through Thursday.
