Job Title: Pharmacy Technician (Order Entry & Triage)
Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for entering medication orders into the system and triaging prescriptions efficiently and accurately. You will play a key part in managing multiple pharmacy programs, recognizing workflow differences, and supporting overall pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter prescriptions into the system in a timely and accurate manner
- Triage prescriptions and clinical data appropriately
- Ensure accuracy of prescription information and maintain patient profiles
- Conduct telephone outreach to physician offices and patients as needed
- Manage various pharmacy programs and assess workflow priorities
- Assist pharmacists and fellow pharmacy technicians with daily operations
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager based on business needs
Job Requirements
- Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Florida
- National Pharmacy Technician certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year prior experience in pharmacy order entry preferred
- Knowledge of basic pharmacy order entry practices and procedures preferred
- Familiarity with pharmacy medications and medical supplies preferred
- Strong mathematical and computation skills
- Understanding of record-keeping techniques
- Ability to work effectively as part of a pharmacy team in an office setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze problems, interpret data, and develop solutions
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient typing skills
- Basic understanding of computer systems and technology
