Dolphin Carpet & Tile is seeking a detail-oriented Import Coordinator to manage import operations and handle day-to-day order entry. This role focuses on import documentation, customs coordination, logistics and inventory control while also performing routine order entry and maintaining sales staff/customer communications.
Key responsibilities
- Manage import operations: prepare and review shipping documents, coordinate customs clearance, ensure compliance with import regulations
- Communicate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers
- Perform daily order entry for purchase and sales orders
- Oversee inventory control: cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate logistics: inbound scheduling, carrier coordination, and shipment tracking
- Resolve order and shipment issues; follow up on lead times and delivery statuses
- Maintain accurate records and Excel-based reports; produce regular import/logistics reports.
- Provide timely customer and supplier updates regarding orders and shipments
Required qualifications
- Experience coordinating imports and familiarity with customs documentation and procedures
- Proven experience with order entry and customer relations
- Strong Excel skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bi-lingual
Schedule
- Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30 (Every other Saturday with a day off that week)
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
